Putting My Whole Self Into The Work

November 18, 2019

What a great inspiring week it has been. This week was a great week with some inspiring conferences that we were able to hear. The first conference was MLC where we got to meet together as Zone Leaders and talk and council about how to best help the mission continue to grow. The second conference was with Elder Kearon of the Presidency of the Seventy and Elder Nash, the president of the Africa West area. They both gave some great talks along with their wives and I was able to learn a lot from them. Elder Kearon talked a lot about how we need to become the message and have a lot of joy in the work that we are doing because until we are the message, no one will want it. Elder Nash talked a lot about not holding anything back and putting our whole selves into the work because the time is short. We must be careful and not casual in our work. I really did learn a lot from them.

The last experience that I will share for this week is just a cool experience that we had throughout the week. Last week we had an experience where we contacted a boy at the beginning of the week and then on Saturday we got to a point of the day that we did not have anywhere to go and so me and my companion both thought of this 16 year old boy that we had contacted earlier in the week. When we went to him that night, he was super prepared to receive us and ready to learn. He said that he read through the pamphlet that we left with him and that he had a discussion with his friends and that he felt like what we were teaching is the real truth on the earth today. We will see him again this week and hopefully he progresses towards baptism. This was all because of the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

I am excited for the upcoming week!! Love you!

A. The things I am most grateful for are first my family, second the Book of Mormon, third the Holy Ghost, fourth my Savior Jesus Christ and last, loving members that make me feel like I am home. There are really many things that I am grateful for right now. Also, my companion who is so great! Probably my fav comp so far alongside my trainer.

Q. Please share a piece of your testimony with us.
A. I know that the church is true without a doubt. I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and the atoning sacrifice that he has done for me. I know that my mission is meant for me to be shaped into the person that I want to become. To grow from a boy into a man and to be the father that I want to become. I know that the Spirit really does guide and protect and lead us to the places that we are supposed to go.
